One-day tour of Washington DC
Depart in the morning for a one-day tour of Washington, the capital of the United States. This is the heart of the United States and a center of world attention.
Itinerary:
In the morning (9:30am-12:00am), you will first visit the White House (exterior). This elegant and solemn palace has housed all the presidents except Washington. Then you will visit the Lincoln Memorial, which is the first choice for American national celebrations and ceremonies. It is also an important venue for major demonstrations and civil rights speeches in American history. Afterwards, you will walk in the Vietnam War Memorial and the Korean War Memorial, and stand in awe of the bravery of foreign martyrs. Stand in front of the Washington Monument and experience the spirit of fighting for freedom. Stroll along the Tidal Basin and imagine the romance of cherry blossoms. Wander beside the Reflection Pool and recall the rise and fall of the United States over the past century. Come to the Jefferson Memorial and sigh at the belief of rejecting tyranny. After lunch, you can choose to visit a few museums in the Smithsonian Institution (about 1:00pm-3:30pm). This rich museum group will be an unforgettable memory of your trip. As the sun sets, you will board the Potomac River Cruise (approximately 4:30pm-6:00pm) and take a glimpse of the capital. This natural urban oxygen bar, where almost every open space is covered with vegetation, is shaded by trees and blooming with flowers in spring and summer. The river is sparkling, the city is floating on the river, the tide is flat and the bank is wide, the river breeze is blowing, and you feel relaxed and happy. Looking far away, you can see the blue sky and white clouds, which is beautiful.
